Movie Review :: Outsourced.

I grabbed the last hour of this movie on Star movies yesterday. It is about the american call centers being set up in india and how the different cultural things influence the working of an organization. The small cultural differences and their effects are conveyed to the user in an effective manner. A light comedy movie to watch, I would say.

My current Addictions :: Knight Rider

One of my current addictions are now adays, Knight Rider series. I just don't know why? May be it's because of the movie, Knight rider or the golden oldie TV Series, back in the old days when I use to Watch NTM.

Still, can't get enough of watching this TV Series.

another thing to Try :: Kubuntu.

I have heard that Kubuntu is a lot like Windows. Well, I am about to find it out. Today, I just installed Kubuntu using this link, and it's quite straight forward. Just run the command and watch a movie in the meantime or graba  cup of coffee as they say.

 I used the small turorial from here to install KUBUNTU.
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/ubuntu/install-kde-kubuntu-on-ubuntu/

And it turned out to be an awesome fun.

All the applications runnung natively in UBUNTU are running in KBUNTU. Its so intuitive. It feels like you are running one car, then all of a sudden you change the behaviour, change the look from Porshe to Mercedes, and the effect on Performance..... NADA, NIL.

I have never seen anything like it in Software Development. Its simply Awesome. Home user computing at its best.

I used to think, OPERA is one of the well thought out, well structured, crafted Software.

UBUNTU / KUBUNTU is well thought out, Operating System. Simply Awesome.

Movie Review :: Vantage Point.

Awesome !.

That's what I would say to this movie. Actually it gives the perspective of different people in the same time frame. The time frame in which there is bomb blast. First perspective is of reporter, second is of a security personnel, third is of a camera man, fourth is of the bomb blaster.

In the end, the whole perspective is converged into one whole picture. The whole time frame shown might be half an hour. That is the bueaty of this movie. Similar movie on the same genre are Pulp Fiction, The Air I breathe.

Highly recommend to watch.

Rating: PG
Rating: 5 out of 5
Story Line: 4 our of 5
Gripping content: 5 out of 5. You will be glued to your seats.

Movie Review :: The incredible Hulk.

Another awesome movie. Only this time, the cast was changed. The original person who came in as the hulk in Hulk one, was a lot better than this one. However, the HULK in this movie was quite big in size. Lots of good graphic motions, where hulk takes out the complete engine of jeep and throws it.

This movie would have been better if original cast is used.

I loved the last part, when Tony Starks (IRON MAN) comes. So the Hulk 3, would be a combination (read fight sequences) of Hulk and IRON MAN. It would be quite interesting to watch.

Movie Ratings: 4 out of 5
Graphic Animations: 4 out of 5.
Story Line: 3 out of 5. At some point, I moved away from the movie. So It does not have the keep you glued to your seats thing in them.

Movie Review :: SlumDog Millionaire

Another nice movie to watch this week.

We take so many information in our usual life time. Yet we, fail, at times, to recall them.

This movie talks about the same trivial thing. There is a guy named, JAMAL who wins 20 million ruppees (Indian) in Kaun banaga KarroorPath (Who would become a Millionaire). All the questions, asked in his game, their answers are hidden in his life, as it moves.

Over all, its a good movie to watch especially when the indian producers are planning to switch to alternative storylines.

Movie Review :: Max Payne

Max Payne. This movie was based on a game. So it makes quite a lot of sense to compare it with the game. Anyone, not played the game, MAX PAYNE, won't be appreciating this movie. Yes, those who have played the same, they might be appreciating it. Like I do.

So please, my word, if you have played Max Payne, only then you should be watching this movie, otherwise, you are wasting your time.

Movie Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
Story: Same as of game
Fight Sequences: Most of fight sequences are copied from game.

Movie Review :: Eagle Eye

Eagle Eye, the concept technology, that higher authorities are being able to eves drop us even just through our mobile phones, even though we are not using them. The same concept as of the Movie Enemy of the state. I loved the high powered action which glued me to my seats when I was watching the movie. The end, was off course... should I be really telling you this?

Fashion Your FireFox

Now this is one cool link where one can Tweak their Firefox according to their lifestyle of Web.

As one can choose to be Social Butterfly (Facebook, MySpace, Linked In, Twitter) or a RockStar (Foxy Tunes, AllMusic.com, Fire.FM (LAST.FM)) or a mix of all.

Try it. One will love it.

IE New Accessibility Features in IE 8

Promises Promises Promises. It reminds me of the famous saying.
" I love deadlines, especially when they zoom past my head"

When I went to IE 8 new Accessibilty features (http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2008/12/10/new-accessibility-features-in-ie8.aspx), it dawned on me, that most of features they are promising us to give are already provided by Opera and Firefox and yes, in that order.

Add the system resources they will be eating up. It will be a total Browser flop.

Still, my choice of Browser will be Firefox(http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/features/) / Opera (http://www.opera.com/browser/features/).
